FAQ

Solar PV electrical and buyer questions.

Use these engineering-led answers as a starting point. Exact equipment selection must follow model documents, project conditions and applicable local requirements.

Engineering and buyer guidance

Protection, system design, procurement and technical document review.

How do I calculate the maximum PV modules in series?

Correct module Voc for the project minimum design temperature, compare the full string with every series component's maximum voltage, and separately verify the MPPT window. Read the PV string Voc guide.

Why can solar output be far below nameplate power?

Irradiance, cell temperature, angle, shading, soiling, connection losses and MPPT limits all matter. Follow the layered troubleshooting guide before declaring a fault.

Can a portable power station feed a home through an outlet?

No. Ordinary outlets are not approved source inlets. See the backfeed safety guide for isolation and changeover boundaries.

Can an SPD solve undervoltage, sustained overvoltage or outages?

No. An SPD manages defined transient overvoltage. Review the SPD capability and selection guide for other power-quality boundaries.

Can the two poles of a double-pole DC breaker protect two independent solar circuits?

Do not assume they can. DC breaker poles may need to operate together or be connected in series to achieve the specified DC voltage and interruption performance. Use the exact breaker wiring diagram, circuit topology and local requirements; otherwise use separately documented protection for each circuit. Review the PV DC circuit breaker selection page.

Can two smaller conductors be paralleled instead of using one correctly sized cable?

Only when the equipment instructions and applicable wiring rules explicitly permit it. Parallel conductors need compatible terminals, controlled current sharing, appropriate protection and verified temperature and voltage-drop calculations. Do not simply add their nominal ampacities.

What documents and calculations are needed for a residential PV system design?

Prepare the load profile, site and shading information, system architecture, single-line diagram, string voltage and current calculations, conductor and voltage-drop calculations, protection and earthing design, equipment datasheets, approval documents, commissioning records and an operating and maintenance handover pack. Local design and approval requirements must be checked for Australia, the UAE or the project jurisdiction.

What should buyers check before purchasing discounted or old-stock solar modules?

Verify the exact model and nameplate, serial-number traceability, authorized supply route, transferable warranty status, packaging and transport condition, electrical compatibility, connector requirements, inspection evidence and the future availability of matching replacements. A low price does not prove electrical condition or warranty coverage.

Should a TOU battery be sized from monthly consumption or interval load data?

Use interval load data and the actual tariff periods. Monthly energy totals hide when energy is consumed and how high the peak demand is. Model peak-period energy, peak power, conversion losses, usable state-of-charge limits and any separate backup reserve before selecting equipment.

Why can a battery have enough kWh but still fail to start or support the required loads?

Energy capacity in kWh describes runtime, while inverter kW and surge capability determine which loads can operate. Check simultaneous loads, motor and compressor starting demand, phase arrangement, inverter continuous and short-duration output, and battery and BMS discharge limits.

How do buyers verify battery, inverter, BMS communication and system compatibility?

Match exact model numbers against the manufacturer's current compatibility matrix, then verify voltage and current limits, BMS protocol, firmware, expansion rules, protection, installation environment and warranty conditions. System-level approvals must be checked separately for Australia, the UAE or the project jurisdiction.

How can buyers verify that an inverter remains operable and maintainable without cloud services?

Check whether the exact model can run, commission, show alarms, retain and export data, back up settings and receive or restore firmware locally. Confirm documented local interfaces, read/write boundaries and access rights; a Bluetooth, Ethernet or RS-485 port alone does not prove complete offline capability.

What information should I send for a quote?

Please include product model, rated voltage, current requirement, cable size, quantity, destination country and any certificate requirements.

Can I request samples?

Yes. Sample availability depends on product category and stock status. Share your target model and application before requesting samples.

Do you support customized solar extension cables?

Yes. The product materials include customized extension line processing. Provide cable length, connector type, color and quantity.

Which certification documents are referenced?

The website displays CE, TUV and RoHS document-category references from provided materials. Confirm the exact model scope, report details and current validity before procurement or approval decisions.

What product categories can you supply?

MC4 solar connectors, branch connectors, PV fuse, fuse base, DC circuit breaker, surge protection and installation accessories. Model pages include the PV-FT-03 connector and PV-FT-04 connector.
